Having been two towns shapes us: 2 waterfronts, 2 downtowns, a South Port and  North Port. After the 1967 amalgamation, duality gave way to unity, compromise and reaching new understandings. The foundation of our 'new' community.

The Valley is home to hundreds of tradespeople, manufacturers, crafters, artists, farmers, and creators. We are also home to community-builders: People who volunteer, raise funds for charities, and welcome new residents.
